Important Note:
Before installing your garbage disposer, make sure that you have the following specifications for your sink.

  1. The inner diameter of your sink must be about 9cm or 3.54 inches and 11cm or 4.33 inches for outer diameter. If the inner diameter is bigger than 9cm, you need to add some adapters.
  2. This is ideal for either single or dual sinks.
  3. The hole for the air-switch button must have a diameter of 3.2cm or 1.26 inches

How does a garbage disposer grind your food waste?

Garbage disposal unit is an equipment that is found or added under your sink. It grinds the food scraps into tiny pieces which will then passes down the drain while there is a heavy flow of water. You can use hot water when cleaning your disposal but it will depend on the cleaning material that you will use if you are using baking soda, vinegar or some citric acid, using hot water is ideal. But, if you are going to use citrus peels, cold water is a much better option.
